KENT L-Type Air Column Bags combine PA/PE film with a one-sided protective flap that folds over the product’s top. Supplied uninflated, they provide cushioning for suitable cans, bottles and other items, with bag dimensions and film thickness available to suit your packing requirements.
A Fold-Over Flap for Top Cushioning
An L-type air column bag has an extended protective flap on one side. The bag body holds the product, while the extension folds over to cover the top after insertion.
This design lets you consider both body cushioning and top coverage when selecting a bag. Flap length, folding position and the securing method should be confirmed with your actual product and outer carton.
Cushioning Around the Product Body
Inflated columns form a cushioning layer around the product body. Check both insertion clearance and the fit after inflation, avoiding a bag that is excessively tight or loose.
For cans, review diameter, height and base position. For bottles, also account for shoulders, necks and projecting caps.
Fold-Over Coverage at the Top
After inserting the product, fold the extension over the top. Check that it covers the intended area and stays suitably positioned inside the outer carton.
The flap provides cushioning coverage. It should not be treated as a self-adhesive closure or a leakproof seal.

Custom Bag and Flap Dimensions
Match Your Product’s Shape
Provide dimensions, weight and photographs of the product as it will be shipped. For cans and round bottles, measure height and maximum diameter. Include projecting parts on irregular items, or measure the retail packaging if it will remain around the product.
These details help define the opening, bag body and flap—not simply a flat length and width.
Check Top Coverage and Carton Fit
Use an inflated sample to assess the product fit and confirm that the folded flap covers the intended top area.
Then check the complete pack inside your planned outer carton. Avoid excessive compression of the cushioning or large gaps that allow the product to move.
Compact Supply for Storage and Transport
L-Type Air Column Bags remain flat before inflation and can be inflated when needed. Compared with storing and transporting the same bags already inflated, this reduces their volume before use.
Actual incoming packaging freight costs depend on carton dimensions, quantity and the carrier’s charging method. The finished parcel must still be assessed using its dimensions and weight after inflation and packing.
Applications for L-Type Air Column Bags
Milk Powder Cans and Other Canned Products
The L-type format can accommodate suitable milk powder cans and other canned products. The bag body surrounds the can, while the extended flap folds over the top.
Provide can height, maximum diameter and lid shape when selecting a size. Cans with the same capacity may have different external dimensions.
Bottled Personal Care and Household Products
L-type bags can be assessed for bottled toiletries, cleaning products and similar items. Check clearance around shoulders, caps or pump heads, including any pressure created when the flap is folded.
The bag provides cushioning; it does not replace a secure bottle closure or necessary leak-containment measures.
Fruit Packaging
Fruit appears among the product’s application examples. Select the bag around the fruit’s shape, size and packing arrangement, avoiding an overly tight fit or concentrated pressure.
This application does not establish freshness-preservation performance or food-contact certification. Confirm material suitability separately where direct contact is intended.
Multiple Items in One Pack
Selected specifications may be assessed for packing several items together. Check the overall fit and whether the items can collide inside the bag.
An outer cushioning bag does not independently separate every item. Add dividers or use separate packs where needed.
Inflation, Flap Folding and Carton Packing
Choose a Suitable Inflation Method
Use a manual pump or an air column inflation machine compatible with the selected bag material. Consider your daily packing volume, supply format and existing equipment when reviewing compatibility.
Follow the operating settings confirmed for the bag and equipment. Do not assume that one setting applies to every specification.
Confirm Flap Coverage and Carton Support
Complete inflation and product insertion according to the selected bag’s instructions, then check the folded flap’s coverage. Confirm the securing method using the sample and your packing requirements.
Once the pack is inside the shipping carton, check support at the top, bottom and sides. Close the carton without forcing it against the air columns, and validate the complete packaging for your shipping conditions.
Develop Your Packaging Specification with KENT
Send KENT your product dimensions, weight, photographs, outer carton internal dimensions and expected order quantity. These details help establish the bag body, flap and film specification to review.
Before bulk ordering, use a sample to confirm insertion, top coverage and carton fit. Agreed dimensions, thickness, packing quantity and sample references provide a basis for repeat orders and incoming checks.
Are L-Type Air Column Bags Only for Milk Powder Cans?
No. Milk powder cans are a common application shown in the product information. Other cans, bottles and suitable items can be assessed using their actual dimensions and a sample fit check.
Does the Protective Flap Have an Adhesive Strip?
The current specification does not list an adhesive strip. Confirm the securing method for your selected bag rather than assuming a self-adhesive closure is included.
Can the Column Count and Bag Dimensions Be Customized?
Yes. The product information specifies three or more columns with customizable specifications. Confirm column count, body dimensions and flap dimensions against your product.
Is 60 μm the Required Thickness for Every Order?
No. Approximately 60 μm is the usual thickness, and other thicknesses can be discussed. Define the measurement basis and agreed specification in your order.
Can I Use My Existing Inflation Machine?
Compatibility depends on the machine model, inflation connection and bag format. Machine inflation is supported, but this does not mean every air cushion machine is compatible.
What Information Do You Need for a Quotation?
Send product dimensions, weight, photographs, expected quantity and carton details. Include an existing bag or sample if available. MOQ and lead time are confirmed for the selected solution.
